Is our A team ready to face Australia on saturday?

With the bok "A" team back in the squad I guess everyone can stop complaining about the boks performance last two games from the supposed B team. All we need to worry about is if the new team is ready and if they are match fit to face the Wallabies on Saturday because most of them just came back from injury rehabilitation and have hardly played any rugby for five to seven weeks. They might a little rusty but it shouldn't be a concern because they’ve been playing rugby for six months now.

The Wallabies are going to be desperate to get a win and are going to come out fighting. They are also under pressure from their coach Robbie Deans who has for years been recognized as one of the top coaches in world rugby is about to pick the Aussie squad for the World Cup and this will be announced in Sydney on Thursday next week, less than 24 hours after the team returns from South AfricaThe Aussie coach also warned his players their World Cup squad hopes will depend on whether they pick up their act against the Springboks this weekend after the All Blacks exposed the team's weaknesses.

For this weekends game the Springboks need to bring their A game and play like the champions we all know they are. Bryan Habana said himself that the backline was not up to scratch in the last two games and they need to physically improve if they are to be a bigger threat as they build towards the World Cup. They should beef up their defense and give the Wallabies any room to move when they are attacking. When you defend against them, you have to be in their faces at all times and be aggressive like the All Blacks did last Saturday. Australians are masters of utilizing space and the Boks will pay the price if they kick possession away aimlessly.

A new backline would see Francois Steyn at fullback, JP Pietersen and Bryan Habana on the wings, Jaque Fourie and Jean de Villiers in the centre positions, Butch James playing fly half and Fourie du Preez at scrumhalf.

The wing Bryan Habana also added that they’re expecting a backlash from them, but we can expect them to stand up and make our country proud.

The World Cup may be in the back of all their minds and their physicality needs to step up a bit from where it has been in the last couple of games
